Family fright night with organist Andrew Brown, who will bring his theatrical energy to this event. Costumes encouraged. Start—or end—your trick-or-treating with some spooky music in a darkened church… Juice boxes and water available. 45 min, no intermission.

Sun 11.5 US Navy Band Clarinets

2 pm

Calling all woodwind lovers! The US Navy Band will present a clarinet extravaganza at Redeemer. This is a free, one hour early afternoon concert, and a beautiful time of day to experience the building. Around a dozen clarinetists in various combinations are anticipated, depending on their official duties that day.
Tea and coffee reception follows. Please register to help catering.

Sat 11.18 Celtic Flute & Harp at Holiday Market

1 pm—5 pm

As part of our “Winter Faire” of Christmas decorations, light refreshments, holiday bake sale, and crafts we welcome back Celtic flute and harp duo Dorothy Mora and Pat Henry for evocative background performances of Scottish and Irish music at the sale, and a recital upstairs in the church at 3pm.

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Get the whole family in the mood for December with the original classic Charlie Brown movie, rear projected on our huge screen. Live Jazz from the incredible Eric Byrd Trio follows, with music from the movie, and visit with the musicians afterwards. Hotdogs, Popcorn, and costume/Snoopy PJs door prizes for everyone. Our Thanksgiving Tradition since 2019!

Join your host and Emcee soprano Molly Grace Young in costume for this fun evening of a few of your favourite things—beer & brats, trivia, and costume competition—with the Julie Andrews & Christopher Plummer musical that taught us how to sing.

Fri 12.8 “Home for Christmas” with Doug Bowles, tenor

A singer of great vocal flexibility, Doug Bowles has performed everything from Rock Opera, to Opera, and Jazz. With pianist Alex Hassan, they have created a fun and nostalgic evening of music that harks back to the 1920s, ‘30s, and ‘40s. No open mic this evening. Eggnog and Hot Chocolate from 6:45 pm.

Bring your family to a traditional service this Christmas.

The earlier family service will have lots of traditional carols for everyone to sing. At the later service Kassia Music and Kassia Youth join us and our choir section leaders for the 10 pm service and prelude to perform music including extracts from Handel’s Messiah.
